I Have a New Year’s Resolution!

Happy 2007!

Finally a year with a decent resolution. I’ve been annoying my friends with talk about it for several months now, so I might as well tell the entire interweb. My resolution for this year is to start my own internet company. Well, my own mobile web application at least. I quit my job at Instructables in December although I still love the website and all the crazy Squids.

I’ve started writing the mobile web application in Python (hssss!) using the Django framework. I’ve got a to-do list, a domain name, and not a whole lot more. This week I’m really excited to buy a cheap server box to put in my apartment and to finish the GUI designs for several forms. If people are interested, I’ll try to document the process a bit more on my new weblog. I love reading comments, so let me know what your New Year’s Resolution is, or just have a good Django versus Rails flame war!

Sorry to disappoint all those who thought I should sell ad space on some other expensive item(s).

    My New Year’s Resolution- Give up wearing codpieces. I could have sworn it was about to make a comeback and I was going to be on the cutting edge of fashion. Where am I going to keep my spare change and cell phone now? I guess the dream is over. I even made codpiece pajamas. That’s 900 bucks down the toilet.
